New transcription: Particulars of Pews &c in St. Mary’s Church, Cheltenham, 1822

Newly transcribed by Jill Waller, this book of accounts, compiled by W. Gyde, actually covers the period 1822-28. New transcription: Dr John Moore Walker’s Prescription Book 1877-1879

A transcription of a Cheltenham doctor’s prescription book has been completed by CLHS volunteers. With 2,500 entries covering a 2-year period from July 1877, and comprising names, addresses and some other details such as occupations, plus a list of paupers, it gives an interesting insight into the working life of Dr Walker, one of the Medical Officers of the Dispensary…
